Η Κυπριακή Ομοσπονδία Καναδά διοργανώνει έναν διαγωνισμό τέχνης και έκθεσης για παιδιά ηλικίας 4 έως 14 ετών, με τίτλο "Κύπρος τότε και τώρα, όπως τη βλέπουν τα παιδιά".

Ο διαγωνισμός, ο οποίος τελεί υπό την αιγίδα του Ύπατου Αρμοστή της Κύπρου στον Καναδά, προσκαλεί τα παιδιά να συμμετάσχουν με έργα τέχνης, εκθέσεις ή ψηφιακές δημιουργίες που εκφράζουν τις σκέψεις τους για την Κύπρο.

Η προθεσμία συμμετοχής είναι η 1η Απριλίου 2025, ημέρα της Εθνικής Εορτής της Κύπρου. Βραβεία θα απονεμηθούν για τις καλύτερες συμμετοχές, με ειδικές αναφορές για τους πρώτους δέκα νικητές και πιστοποιητικά για όλους τους συμμετέχοντες.

ART AND ESSAY MULTIMEDIA CONTEST
“CYPRUS THEN AND NOW AS SEEN THROUGH THE EYES OF THE CHILDREN”

The Cypriot Federation of Canada in celebrating Cyprus National Day, organizes an art  and essay multimedia contest with the title “Cyprus then and now as seen through the  eyes of the children”. The competition is under the auspices of the High Commissioner  of the Republic of Cyprus to Canada, with the support of Mr. Nick Mantas, City  Councilor Scarborough-Agincourt, and the Coordination of the Cypriot Federation of  Canada.

All students who attend Greek language programs, between the ages of 4 and 14 are  invited to write their essays in the Greek language only.

This is your opportunity to express through Art and Essay your thoughts and knowledge  about Cyprus and showcase Cyprus’ beauty, history, civilization and culture.
Deadline  April 1st, 2025, April 1st coincides with Cyprus’ National Day.

You can participate in three different ways:
Be graphic! Design a poster! By Hand: must be on 8 ½” x 11” paper. Using  Technology: 8½” x 11” size
Sharpen your pencil! Write something about Cyprus’ beauty, culture, history and  civilization. Maximum Length: 500 words  
Let’s get digital! Create a video, photo essay, Google slideshow, Power point, or any  other kind of digital presentation. Maximum Running Time: 3 mins.

Eligibility and Prizes - All monetary prizes will be awarded by the Cypriot  Federation of Canada
Two groups qualify: JK to Grade 3, and Grades 4 to 8
A winning submission will be selected from each of the qualifying groups.
Three submissions from each group of the drawing and essay categories will  receive a monetary award while the top 10 will receive honorable mention and all  other school and individual participations a certificate of participation.

ORIGINAL CONTENT ONLY - if there are images that are not yours, please make  sure they are “free for use” online or you have explicit consent by the original creator.  Media Contest Guidelines  
All media will be accepted.  
All entries must leave ample space for the Cypriot Federation of Canada logo
All entries must not contain pictures of person(s).  

All electronic entries can be submitted in .pdf to christinecns@hotmail.com or  cypriotfederation@rogers.com. Please retain a copy of your original art or essay in case  your entry is chosen.

If submitting an original hard copy, please send via board mail to Cypriot  Federation of Canada c/o Christine Amygdalidis - 85 Earlton Road,  Scarborough,ON M1T 2R7
All entries must include a name, grade, school, an email address, and a phone  number.  
All entries must be received by April 1st, 2025
All entries will be evaluated based on, but not limited to visual appeal, creativity,  originality and content. Entries will be judged by the Organizing Committee of  this contest.
Winners from each category will be contacted by a member of the Organizing  Committee

The Organizers do not assume responsibility for media entries. All submissions become  the property of the Cypriot Federation of Canada and will not be returned.
