Krinos Canada Proudly Sponsors Rising Star Alpine Skiing Athlete, Elena Deda

Krinos Canada, Canada’s leading manufacturer and importer of traditional and new foods of Greece, is proud to announce its sponsorship of 16-year-old alpine ski sensation, Elena Deda—a remarkable young athlete whose passion for excellence embodies the strength and spirit of the Greek-Canadian community.

Elena first took to the slopes in Greece at just three years old. After moving to Vancouver at the age of five, Elena quickly carved her own path in alpine skiing, establishing herself as one of Canada’s brightest young talents.

A multiple-time British Columbia Provincial Champion, Elena is the reigning Western Canadian Overall Champion for both 2024 and 2025, capturing back-to-back titles along with multiple discipline victories in Slalom and Giant Slalom. Her international breakout came at the 2024 Whistler Cup, where she represented Team Canada in the U16 Nations Team Event (parallel slalom), earning gold with her teammates. Building on that momentum, Elena joined the Canadian National Team in 2025 and secured 2nd overall in the U16 girl’s category, taking home the coveted Nancy Greene Trophy.

Elena’s pursuit of excellence extends beyond the slopes. In 2024, she was honoured with the prestigious Piper Award, recognizing her outstanding academic performance in Grades 8 and 9.

Η μεγαλύτερη εταιρεία εισαγωγής και παραγωγής Ελληνικών προϊόντων Krinos Foods, ανακοίνωσε ότι ανέλαβε επίσημος  χορηγός της Έλενας Δέδα μιας εξαιρετικής νεαρής Ελληνο-Καναδής αθλήτριας του αλπικού σκι. Η Ελένα που αγωνίζεται με τα χρώματα του Καναδά είναι μία καταπληκτική αθλήτρια με εξαιρετικές επιδόσεις και διακρίσεις.  Ξεχωρίζει για το πάθος, την δύναμη και την αποφασιστικότητα που τόσο χαρακτηρίζουν εξάλλου την μας ομογένεια μας.

Έκανε τα πρώτα της βήματα στις μαγευτικές πλαγιές της Μακεδονίας μας και σε ηλικία 5 ετών μαζί με την οικογένεια εγκαταστάθηκαν στο Βανκούβερ.  Εκεί πολύ σύντομα αναγνωρίσθηκε ως ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα νεαρά ταλέντα του Καναδά.

Αναδείχθηκε πολλές φορές πρωταθλήτρια όχι μόνο της Βρετανικής Κολομβίας αλλά και του Δυτικού Καναδά. Καθιερώθηκε στην εθνική ομάδα Κ16 του Καναδά και η διεθνής της αναγνώριση ήλθε το 2024 όταν ως μέλος της εθνικής ομάδας κατέκτησαν στο Whistler Cup το χρυσό μετάλλιο.

Αποτελεί ένα φωτεινό παράδειγμα και μία τρανή απόδειξη του πως οι ρίζες μας σε συνδυασμό με  την αποφασιστικότητα και το πείσμα μπορούν να κάνουν θαύματα.»  σημείωσε ο Αλέξανδρος Γεωργιάδης πρόεδρος της Krinos Foods. “Η νέα αυτή γενιά μας κάνει όλους υπερήφανους για τα επιτεύγματα της και είναι τιμή μας να στηρίζουμε την προσπάθεια της Έλενας για ακόμα μεγαλύτερες διακρίσεις σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο».
