The Greek International Film Festival Tour of Canada (GIFFT) proudly announces its 5th annual edition, bringing an exciting lineup of Greek cinema to audiences across the country. This year’s festival will be presented in 10 Canadian cities: Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Hamilton, London, Toronto, Ottawa, and Halifax.
Running throughout the fall, GIFFT 2025 will feature 12 feature films, 15 feature documentaries, and 25 short films, showcasing the creativity, depth, and cultural richness of contemporary Greek and Greek-inspired cinema.

This year’s program will spotlight an impressive array of films, including:
Giannis In the Cities
Opening night feature, with acclaimed director Eleni Alexandraki in attendance.
The Aegean
Special appearances by lead actor Costas Mandylor and producer-director Jacob Richardson at meet-and-greet events.
Wishbone
A stirring drama with universal themes of resilience and hope.
Song of Goats
A Polish-Greek production about a love story between a Polish man
and a Greek farmer’s daughter.
Murphy’s Law (Νόμος του Μέρφυ)
A 2024 psychoanalytic screwball comedy about a struggling actress navigating alternate realities after a near-fatal accident.
The Last Taxi Driver
Starring Klelia Andrealatou (Maestro in Blue).
Athens Midnight Radio
Featuring Renos Charalambidis, who will travel from Athens to join the festival and meet fans.
Additional screenings include Greek Mothers Never Die, Guest Star, Cafe 404, and Meat.


A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO STELIOS KAZANTZIDIS
On Sunday, October 5, the festival will dedicate an entire day to legendary Greek singer Stelios Kazantzidis. The tribute begins with a performance by Christoforos Zisoulis, renowned for his uncanny vocal resemblance to Kazantzidis, at Salonika Estiatorio Restaurant, followed by a screening of the feature documentary Stelios. Special guests from the film may also attend.

ACCESSIBLE NATIONWIDE
In addition to live screenings, 15 feature documentaries will be available to stream online across Canada through www.gifft.ca for the duration of the festival, ensuring audiences nationwide can participate in the celebration of Greek film and culture.
