Please see details below for an new online fundraising campaign called “Greek – Canadian Chef Challenge” being held by our friends at The Hellenic Initiative (THI) Canada - with celebrity chefs: Christine Cushing, Peter Minakii and Helen & Billie Bitzas in support of THI Canada programs providing daily meals to children in Greece:

The Hellenic Initiative Canada is the latest addition to The Hellenic Initiative Worldwide. The Hellenic Initiative was founded in 2012 by members of the global Greek and philhellene communities who were moved to respond to the worsening economic crisis, Greece’s short-term needs and long term recovery. Primary objectives include feeding and caring for the most vulnerable children and the elderly.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Enter for a chance to win great prizes and at the same time help us provide daily meals to children in Greece.
2. Prepare & photograph your favourite Greek dish by August 25, 2020
3. Submit your dish in the form provided in the link and tell us how much you think the dish would sell for in a restaurant
4. Post your dish to your social pages and tag 5 friends to donate the price of the dish
Chef's Choice Award
Our Celebrity Chefs will select their favourite entry. The winning dish will receive a two (2) night stay in an Alcove King room at the luxury spa William Gray Hotel in Montreal and dinner for two at the Maggie Oakes Restaurant.
Voter's Choice Award
Our Voter's choice award will go to the entry with most votes. The winning dish will receive one (1) all access gift card to Masterclass.com for online culinary lessons.
Most Funds Raised Award
Our most funds raised award will go to the entry that raised the most funds in donations. The winning dish will receive one (1) gift card of kitchen equipment from Williams-Sonoma Inc.
