The two countries have signed Amity, Commerce and Maritime Treaties through the years, three pillars that remain relevant today. The very presence of the Greek official mission in Japan offers a unique opportunity to redefine the bilateral relations of the two countries and to broaden the prospects for economic and commercial cooperation.
At the end of the MoC signing ceremony, Ms. Loizou emphasized that “both in Greece and Japan, our business communities are at the forefront of a dynamic transformation towards a more digital, green and sustainable future. Greece has performed extensive reforms in recent years and is transforming its economy, on the one hand by investing billions of euros in the green and digital transition and on the other hand by promoting innovative solutions for the future. The signing of an MoC between Enterprise Greece and JETRO confirms the will of both sides for close cooperation and constitutes the first step towards a common course of strategic initiatives and the development of common actions."
